LTC Knudsen

Lt. Colonel Harold Knudsen

Knudsen’s career thus far, spanning over twenty years in the U. S. Army includes all the major military schools, and expertise in integrating fire support into the maneuver plan and fire control/artillery computation in cannon units. He has spent nine years in Germany studying military tactics employed in the last two world wars in an international environment, has taught ROTC at the college level and seen combat in Desert Storm performing extensive artillery fire planning/execution in support of the US breakthrough of the Iraqi line, and penetration into Iraq until the cease-fire. He also has seven years of staff work at the army level, giving him a complete understanding of army operations. Lt. Col. Knudsen has a Masters in Liberal Arts from Georgetown University. His book, James Longstreet: The Confederacy’s Most Modern General, is based on his Master's dissertation.
